The Animation and Game Design program at Berkeley City College offers a dynamic curriculum designed to prepare students for careers in the growing fields of animation, video game design, and interactive media. Combining creativity, technical skills, and industry-standard tools, the program emphasizes hands-on learning and project-based instruction to help students build a strong portfolio.
Berkeley City College is one of only two Unreal Academic Partner campuses in the Bay Area, giving students access to cutting-edge instruction in Unreal Engine, a leading platform in game design and interactive media. Unreal Academic Partners get access to licenses and subscriptions to the latest enterprise Unreal software for game design, motion capture, and 3D modeling. We also receive information about internships and hiring events in the Bay Area and access to the Epic Developer Community learning resources.
Berkeley City College is a member of the Regional Virtual Production Academy, offering internships and the opportunity to stack multiple units and certificates from participating Bay Area campuses.
