Cash For College Workshop

Join us for a FREE Cash for College workshop! Get help with completing your financial aid application. If this is your first time filling out FAFSA or CADAA, please be sure to read the “Steps to be Prepared” below. Bring a parent/guardian to better assist you with the Parent/Guardian section.

STEPS TO BE PREPARED

  • Bring Student & Parent Social Security #’s (and Alien Registration #;s if you are not a U.S Citizen).
    • If student does not have either, they may be eligible for the CADAA and scholarships.
  • Bring most recent 2023 Federal tax forms such as 1040, W-2, bank statements, etc. You will not have to reveal this information to anyone, but you will need it to complete the forms.
  • If your family does not file taxes and/or receives public assistance, please bring those statements.
  • To locate a FREE Tax Preparation Center in your neighborhood, visit www.earnitkeepitsaveit.org
  • Cal-Grant GPA Release Form to your counselor ASAP. To check the status of your Cal-Grant, create an account at mygrantinfo.csac.ca.gov
  • Check college/university websites for special financial aid deadlines and forms (e.g Collegeboard’s CSS Profile).
